Santiago, 7 January 2025. A group of 30 Chilean professionals, with an outstanding female participation, graduated from the Diploma in Green Hydrogen and its Derivatives, a programme that seeks to position Chile as a benchmark in the production of this clean and sustainable energy.

The initiative, funded by the European Union and Germany, and executed by the University of Chile, is part of the Team Europe project for the Development of Renewable Hydrogen in Chile. This programme aims to accelerate the country’s energy transition and contribute to the global goals of combating climate change.

Green hydrogen, produced from renewable energies, is considered a key energy vector to decarbonise multiple sectors, from industry to transport. By training professionals in areas such as hydrogen production, storage and utilisation, this diploma course contributes to accelerating the development of this promising technology in Chile.

The graduation ceremony, held at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile, was attended by academic authorities, representatives of the Chilean government, as well as the graduates.
