The Team Europe Renewable Hydrogen Development in Chile (RH2) project, funded by the European Union and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and implemented by GIZ, signed an agreement with the University of Chile to create a map of wetlands and peatlands in the Magallanes Region.
Using the Copernicus satellite system, data on soil cover and ecosystem characteristics will be collected. This information is crucial for the development of green hydrogen projects, helping to minimize environmental impacts and manage the territory sustainably.
