Specialists from Latin America and Europe met in Uruguay for a “Regional Meeting on Renewable Hydrogen” from July 22 to 24, 2025, to share experiences and promote the sustainable development of green hydrogen.

Participants included professionals from the Division of Fuels and New Energies, the Division of Social Participation and Dialogue, and the Gender and Human Rights Office of the Chilean Ministry of Energy. Experts discussed the need to strengthen alliances and establish a common roadmap for human capital, innovation, and territorial development—all fundamental pillars for driving this energy source in the region.

The event was organized as part of the Team Europe Initiative (TEI RH2) project in Chile, with support from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the European Union, and the Chilean Ministry of Energy. The discussions highlighted international cooperation as a catalyst for initiatives that aim not only to decarbonize the economy but also to build more equitable and sustainable futures for communities.
